About Us

Clennell Education Solutions (CES) is a company that provides support for schools and education establishments for all their Behaviour and Safety needs. We will act as a 'critical friend' advising on safeguarding issues in Strategic Planning, Service Delivery and practice.

The CES service has three core professional functions:

  • Leadership support
  • Operational support
  • Trust/partnership development

To support school leaders and settings meet their statutory requirements we provide a one stop shop for all areas of support.

Ian Clennell is the Managing Director of CES and has 29 years´ experience working with schools in dealing with social, welfare, behaviour and safeguarding issues which impact on the school community. He has managed a large attendance and welfare service, has successfully overseen a number of national pilots and has been the Educational Lead for child protection and safeguarding for 20 years. Recently he has been a Senior Adviser with lead responsibility for Safeguarding, supporting schools in Ofsted inspections, managing allegations against staff and critical incidents in school. In a recent Local Authority survey, the support provided ranked highest for school satisfaction.

CES have a team of highly qualified and experienced Safeguarding Consultants who have worked successfully with educational establishments for many years. Our dedicated and experienced specialists come from leadership backgrounds and have expertise in all aspects of school improvement, including a thorough working knowledge of teachers and support staff conditions of service. We are able to tailor our service to meet the specific needs of our customers because we understand that establishments are different.

Customised Service

  • We offer schools and settings the ability to buy our services as a retainer or a pay as you go model. For many of the training sessions schools can join up with other schools in their cluster, academy chain, school trusts or linked schools to purchase together making it even more affordable.
  • This new approach is intended to provide schools and partnerships with a flexible and a consistent range of additional support which is responsive to need and which can enhance school capacity. Specific requests for support / guidance can be negotiated.
  • We will attend and contribute to school SLT when required. Consultants will be available to attend and contribute to a range of other partnership meetings in agreement with schools, and will provide regular feedback and updates as to progress, issues and impact.
  • The offer can be purchased on a yearly basis, but negotiation regarding a 3 year agreement to promote consistency and longer term impact to be measured would be welcomed.
  • Our aim is to help you keep children and vulnerable adults safe. Whatever your requirements are, we can meet them, just let us know.
